Engineering Manager
The Head of Engineering’s responsibilities will include the management and expansion of Handsome app, an outsource dev team, deep experience in information architecture, design of front and backend development, innovative tech solutions, and a zest for collaboration!!

Engineering Strategy:
Manage, build, implement proper systems architecture
Ability & experience in making strategic recommendations on the appropriate technology needed to scale in the short and long term
Actively participate in the entire process of development, including design, testing, deployment, and supporting the team
Suggest and implement high-tech, innovative solutions to expand the product & analytics, such as: MixPanel, user journey mapping tools, direct messages, and other analytic and open-sourced tools
Champion a “test and learn” culture, where innovation and iteration is a central part of the overall technical strategy to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Partner with Design, Partnerships & Marketing to ensure effective and scalable execution of new features.
Engineering Leadership & Execution:
Hiring, molding, mentoring, interviewing & building a LATAM based team
Leading team to execute relentlessly toward goals, fast-paced deployments, and innovation
Implement and monitor quality engineering processes, I.e., agile scrum methodology
Hands on in coding when needed, optimize backend code, identify & fix bottlenecks
Analyze and develop solutions for complex challenges with the company’s user growth & engagement KPIs in mind
Ensure quality analytics thru company data sources like: Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Firebase, App Store Connect and beyond
Requirements:
4-5+ years of Technology Management experience, ideally in a lead engineering role
5-7 years Backend/front end development experience
Design and operational experiences
Startup experience building and managing engineering teams from 5 to 30+
Proficiency in at-least one of iOS SWIFT or Node.JS or React Native
Experience in relational databases such as Twilio, Algolia, Braintree, Firebase, MixPanel etc
Experience in relational databases and knowledge of AWS Dynamo DB is a plus.
Understanding how to optimize and fine-tune backend application that uses MySQL or other external & open source softwares
Strong will to learn, create and conquer!
Individuals with nontraditional backgrounds, but proven ability are highly encouraged to apply
Experience building high performing technology teams, specifically remote in LATAM
